LEVERADE and IISA will deliver digital trophies to the winners of the 5th IISA World Championship
The IISA 5th World Championship will be held between January 11th — 15th 2023 in Samoëns in the French Alps.
Through this partnership with LEVERADE, IISA will use blockchain technology to award the winners through NFT digital trophies, positioning itself as one of the world’s most innovative entities.
The Spanish company LEVERADE is the technology provider of the Association and is responsible for implementing blockchain technology that will deliver digital trophies.
Each digital award has a certificate of authenticity and ownership engraved in the blockchain that will last forever. In addition, athletes can share the award through their social networks and demonstrate their achievement with the digital community.
About Ice Swimming
Ice Swimming is swimming in a water temperature of 5.0C / 41.0F or lower, unassisted, wearing one standard swimming costume, one pair of goggles, and one standard swimming silicon cap.
It is an extreme sport with significant health and mental benefits, its motto is Safety and Integrity in the ICE.
The competition is run by the IISA (International Ice Swimming Association), which was founded in 2009 with the goal of branding the term “ice swimming” for their competition and eventually adding the sport to the Winter Olympics program.
IISA now holds Ice Swims in 46 countries and membership in 73 countries worldwide.
The World Championship has been hosted every two years since 2015 (the 2021 Ice Swimming Championships were moved to 2022).

Acerca de la Natación sobre Hielo
La Natación sobre Hielo consiste en nadar a una temperatura del agua de 5.0C / 41.0F o inferior, sin ayuda, llevando un traje de baño estándar, un par de gafas y un gorro de natación estándar de silicona.
La competición está dirigida por la IISA (Asociación Internacional de Natación sobre Hielo), que se fundó en 2009 con el objetivo de acuñar el término “natación sobre hielo” para su competición y, con el tiempo, añadir este deporte al programa de los Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno.

El Campeonato del Mundo se celebra cada dos años desde 2015 (los Campeonatos de Natación sobre Hielo de 2021 se trasladaron a 2022).
